Donald J. Wardwell, AFSP, is the proprietor of Wardwell Tax Service LLC. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a baccalaureate degree.

 

Don started his tax career in the fall of 2010 when he volunteered as a tax preparer through an Internal Revenue Service community outreach program, called VITA. This provided Don with formal IRS training with high volume/on-demand client-centric experience. After several years as an income tax volunteer-preparer, Don was promoted to supervise a team of thirteen volunteer tax preparers within the same program at a new site withing Lancaster County. 

 
By November of 2014, Don officially started his professional income tax preparation business to new clients. Today, Don is a credentialed income tax preparer with the Internal Revenue Service maintaining a current PTIN, EFIN, CAF, and EIN. 

 

Don participates in the IRS Annual Filing Season Program for professional tax preparers. He regularly exceeds the minimum requirement of annual continuing education units (CEUs). After taking the Annual Tax Refresher Course and passing all the required exams, Don regularly receives the AFSP Record of Completion from the IRS. This annual recertification authorizes Don to represent his tax clients before the IRS. Don has completed this process every year that he has been in practice.
